How did I trade on 3rd of July

Hi,

3rd of July was only a half-day at the markets, since they were closed after 1pm.
Despite that, there was some serious action going on.

In order to get a better picture of how I trade, I recommend going through my watchlist for the day aswell (previous blog post).

The first stock that I was looking was WSTI.
Having made a bunch of money with it, I thought that there was more to come. The main theory was, that usually with this sort of pumps, there will be a nice bounce from a nice round number. I was expecting it to be 1$ price level, but since that was not the case, I was looking for it to bounce from 0,50 as I also said in my watch list for 3rd of July:
"WSTI - can it drop any lower? I am keen to watch it bounce. A 20-40% bounce from 0,5 would be something I am looking for. We'll see."
And so it did.

The stock bounced for more than 30%, which is what I was expecting for. I made a decent 22%, didn't hold enought, but still a nice 400 $ gain. Good plan, good execution.

Other trades were not that big, the markets are slower during summer.
I was looking for VAPE to fall below 2,50 in order to short it. The stock fell 3%, but not enough for me to initiate a short position, so I am keeping it in my watch list for 7th of July.

PLPL - I was right, but am still holding, since the fall was only 10%.

I initiated a short @ 0,58$. If the stock goes higher than 0,64, I'll get out. But it is more likely that it will drop, which is why I am still holding my short position.
PS! Please remember, that whenever you short, your broker will charge you extra, and more so when you are holding over night.

VOIL - I lost 80$ with the stock, since I thought it would fall more. I was scared it would bounce, but did not see a bounce forming so took a short position. The bounce did happen, but later in the day and I got out for -80$. I like how I traded, since I got out at the right time, just did not go my way.

CBDS - I took no position, since the move was not too substantial. I am still sticking to my plan to short it when the opportunity rises (when i see cracking price action).

NTRR - Made 600$ on it. How?

In my watchlist for the day, I said I would be keeping an eye on the stock. Well I did and initiated a short position right when the stock went from green to red and made a little under 20% on the trade.
The idea was that the stock had volume and seemed to be topping out.

Overall over 1K$ in profit+ a couple hundred unrealized.
